After its establishment in 2015, the Rwanda Fashion Models Union officially launched on Sunday, March 26, with 300 models and 23 modelling agencies to support the development of local fashion designers and models.

The union was registered by the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) in 2022.

For the first time, Gorilla Fashion Week hosted a two-day fashion showcase and discussion around the fashion industry and arts in Kigali.

Fashion Trends Africa

The first edition of the Gorilla Fashion Week 2023 is organized in partnership with the IPRC Kigali and the Rwanda Fashion Models Union [RFMU]. The Gorilla Fashion Week 2023 is scheduled for 29th December (at the IPRC Kigali) and on the 30th at Century Park Hotel in Kigali City.
